JBC is an evangelical, Bible-based independent church fellowship. We are committed to nurturing and nourishing the Saints as we assemble together during regular worship services, and special times throughout the month. It is our belief that the Saints should GATHER together to be strengthened in the faith. As a result of each persons faith being strengthened we then GO to proclaim Christ and live for Him in the walk of life in which God has providentially placed each follower of Christ.
In gathering together to study God's Word, to pray and to strengthen one-another we take the first step in accomplishing our mission which is to serve Christ in southeast metro Louisville, Kentucky and unto the uttermost parts of the world.
Water Wells - (due to the political climate in this country we are with holding specifics, such as the country name. Even the photo provided here is not matched to this information).
In September of 2007 a water jug first appeared during our Adult Bible Study and worship times. Our "Water Well Ministry" began as an effort to help provide safe drinking water for our persecuted  brothers and sisters in the Faith. In the villages of UNNAMEDCOUNTRY, there are those who oppose those who claim Christ, and do so by denying them use of the village water well. Our brothers and sisters are faced with walking long distances foraging for water to survive!
Once we became aware of this need, and the persecution faced daily by the followers of Christ in UNNAMEDCOUNTRY, we became confident that we could partner with MINISTRYX to help provide water wells. A well can be dug and made operational for only $85! Our water jug is in place so that we can collect "spare change" towards a water well. When we have collected $85 we send a check off right away to MINISTRYX. MINISTRYX then provides a water well, through their contacts in UNNAMEDCOUNTRY, for those who are risking their very lives for Christ! As of January 8, 2008 we have collected enough funds for 4 water wells!
